The Kitchen Table - the place where I connect with my passion, my work, and my community.
All amongst the calm and the chaos of family life.
It's messy, it's imperfect and it's the daily realities of meeting my needs alongside my family.

This week I’ll be lapping the sun for the 41st time. What a gift to be in this body walking this earth right now.
I know there’s a lot that feels big, heavy and overwhelming, but as I reflect on the year that has been for me and my little family, I am filled with joy and gratitude at the things I have cultivated and called into my life.
I remember when I decided to stop drinking alcohol a few years ago and how big that felt in my life and wondering how I would socialise and still enjoy life as I knew it!
It was a big turning point for me to begin to stand for my own unique values and do what feels true and right for me and my body, despite what others or the world around me are doing.
I’ve had some practice in this area since then and living a life true to my values is something that I will choose over and over again.
It’s not necessarily the easiest path or a comfortable and convenient one,
but as I age and with each year that passes it feels like the best gift I can give myself as we really only have one shot at this wild and precious life.
Our boys have turned 8 and 6 recently and I’m beginning to notice the seasons changing in our little unit.
The boys are gaining more independence, and whilst I am still so full in my mothering and meeting their needs, there is growing awareness of how these needs are changing.
I’m holding a vision for our future and what that looks like. Having my husband around more than he currently is, I sense is going to be of deep importance for us all and for the boys now and into the future.
It’s been challenging to hold this vision whilst remaining in the present moment, not feeling despondent with the timing of things outside of our control whilst having gratitude for where we find ourselves and all that we currently have.
And so I continue to lean in to what I know supports me and has me feeling resourced even on the very hard days; nature, movement, the breathe, making space to feel and feel held. It’s simple yet a practice, messy and imperfect.
I hope you too are finding ways to move through your days with gentle loving compassion for yourself and all you are holding and traversing.
So much love from me to you xxx

Mamma’s if you want to stop yelling or flipping your lid so much,
I have something you need to hear.
You may understand and know a little (or a lot) about what’s happening in your brain and body.
You may have read all the books, listened to the podcasts, you’ve done the parenting course.
And yet you wonder, why am I still flipping my lid?
When my child does this behaviour, I get so….. activated.
Here’s the caveat.
You are not doing it wrong and you are certainly not alone.
What you need is a space to feel that activation, to move it and then to come back into balance.
A space that’s going to say: “Hey I see you. This is hard. It’s ok you feel so angry, overwhelmed, full of rage…
You are enough and you are doing an amazing job.”
A space that’s going to say: “I've got you. I’m right here beside you.
Let’s face it, let’s feel it and let’s move it. Together.
You were never meant to do this work alone.”
A space where you can soften, and trust that you have exactly what you need to parent the child in front of you.
Every mother needs this space. I am so glad you are here.
