Making plans and travelling life

We're off on some big adventures-

Come and follow along as I document life on the road.

All things parenting, relationships, home schooling and life learning.

All amongst the calm and the chaos of family life, squished into a van.

It will be messy and imperfect as I navigate the realities of meeting my needs alongside my family.

Hello Mamma,

It’s been a challenge to dedicate any time to my business and my community and take a minute to sit down and get some words on a page.

But I’m here now, making it happen, in amongst all the chaos and richness of our boys playing with their cousins, sitting at my brother and sister in law’s table, which feels so homely and comforting.

We were reflecting just the other night that a year ago, here at the same table we were discussing the idea of buying a caravan to travel around Australia. We had the house on the market and had plans to move to the high country in Victoria as many may remember.

But in the space of a few months our plans changed and we pivoted to the idea of selling up and taking the boys around the country.

I can’t believe that in such little time we are actually now living that reality.

Of course at the time it did not feel that way! It was the most challenging thing being in that liminal space of uncertainty and not knowing when the house would sell and what the next moves were.

Little did I know that was all training ground for the life we were embarking on.

We are well into our travels and uncertainty and plans changing are a common occurrence and whilst it’s not my natural state I’m leaning into it more and more and using it as an area of growth.

We have just finalised making some plans for the next few months which feels so good for the planner in me. It actually has settled my nervous system and had me feeling a lot more grounded and present.

We have a few more weeks up in the sunny coast enjoying living the beach life and then we’re heading south for another turn at farming.

It’s where we all thrived having a routine and space, the boys alongside Dom on the farm, and it’s where I felt some spaciousness open up.

I have very little of that feeling since we’ve been on the road 24/7.

We’re still dancing with lots of feelings and the hard times and struggles are real, however when I turn to my social media feed, or chat with friends and hear of other’s lives and loved ones, we are so incredibly blessed. We have 2 healthy boys, who alongside us are experiencing a life many can only dream of. We have freedom, flexibility, and for the most part a regulated nervous system which is so much richness right there.

I hope your week has had moments if not days where you’ve had some love and connection with yourself and your loved ones.

A gentle reminder that we are all doing our very best, even when you don’t feel this to be true.

I’ve personally needed this a few times over the past couple of weeks.

Have you ever found yourself wondering what it would be like to walk the path less travelled?

Maybe with regards to education, or life? Home learning or traveling Australia?

After following these paths and making this a reality for our family, I know first hand the challenges and ways in which support can be crucial as you ebb and flow through the life cycles of transition and change, feeling out of your comfort zone and trusting that life happens for us, not to us. (something that took me a long while to appreciate and really come to embody).

I’d love to support other mothers to truly show up in more aligned ways, following the breadcrumbs of their unique life, and leading the way in their family units.

Please, if this sounds like you, or even a mamma you might know, I’d so appreciate you passing this email on, or hitting reply with any comments or questions.

I’d love to offer you a free connection call, with no obligation other than that: connection.

I’d love to hear what is feeling tricky or aligned and joyous, I’m here for it all.
